She checked her phone again—no messages. He stared at the route map, even though he already knew the bus was late. Rain began softly, not enough to run, just enough to stay. “Chennai weather never keeps promises,” she said, breaking the silence. He smiled. “Just like people.” The bus finally arrived, loud and impatient. They stood up together, shared a glance, and boarded. No names exchanged. No numbers saved. Yet, for a brief moment at 9:47 PM , in Anna Nagar , two lives crossed— and that was enough to become a tiny tale.
